As an Diarist

From 1970, onwards 2011, I started writing daily events and happenings in Pakistan and abroad. Diary maintaining is known since centuries; Ultimately, it becomes a source of history writing. Old kings used to appoint “MUNSHIS” to write a “ROZNAMCHA” viz 3 daily events/happenings in their kingdoms.

Even, in the modern world, many historical books on the basis of the daily diaries stand published. My style of maintaining a daily dairy is that first of all, I note down the weather and personal health. Then, daily events (personal engagements, visitors, meetings, writing work, books read etc.) Then I come towards happenings in the country. In last lines, worldover noticeable events are noted down. So my personal diary will ultimately, become a source of information for a research scholar or a historian of future. It depends, who cares for such a small thing. Almost, forty diaries of this nature are available with me (library) years being 1970 to 2011.
